Sonotex-5 is a medium density, spray applied acoustical coating specially designed for interior sound absorption applications.

Sonotex - 5 is a portland cement based, factory mixed material that requires only the addition of water on the job site to form a consistent pumpable slurry. It is ideal for new construction, repair or remodeling work.  It maybe applied over concrete and steel surfaces.  Uses include correctional facilities, schools, pool areas, gymnasiums and light industrial facilities.

• Excellent Sound Absorption Characteristics - Tested in accordance with ASTM C423 and E795. NRC 0.60 at 25mm (1in.)
• Durability - Sonotex - 5 is moisture resistant and its hardness helps resist against physical damage.
• Low Installed Cost - Low material cost and direct spray-on application saves time and money.  Sonotex - 5 may be applied in 13 mm (1/2 in) passes which means quicker thickness build-up in fewer passes.
• Hourly Fire Protection Ratings - Sonotex - 5 has been tested in accordance with ASTM E 119 fire test standard for various fire resistive assemblies.
